Pasi Paruppu Payasam


Ingredients

Green Gram : 1/2 cup
Water : 1 1/2 cup
Jaggery : 1/2 cup
Milk : 1/2 cup
Ghee : 2 tbsp
Cashew Nuts : 5 to 6 nos
Raisin : 10 nos
Cardamom Pods : 2 nos



Method
  1. Dry roast the green gram and keep it aside.
  2. Add 1 1/2 cups of water and put the roasted green gram in the pressure cooker for 3 whistles.
  3. Add Jaggery and mix well until it melts. Then add 1/2 whole milk.
  4. Simmer it for about 5 minutes. 
  5. Crush the Cardamom pods and add it to the Payasam.
  6. Fry cashews and raisins in the Ghee and garnish the Payasam.
  7. Pasi Paruppu Payasam is ready.
