Ingredients
Green Gram | : 1/2 cup |
Water | : 1 1/2 cup |
Jaggery | : 1/2 cup |
Milk | : 1/2 cup |
Ghee | : 2 tbsp |
Cashew Nuts | : 5 to 6 nos |
Raisin | : 10 nos |
Cardamom Pods | : 2 nos |
Method
- Dry roast the green gram and keep it aside.
- Add 1 1/2 cups of water and put the roasted green gram in the pressure cooker for 3 whistles.
- Add Jaggery and mix well until it melts. Then add 1/2 whole milk.
- Simmer it for about 5 minutes.
- Crush the Cardamom pods and add it to the Payasam.
- Fry cashews and raisins in the Ghee and garnish the Payasam.
- Pasi Paruppu Payasam is ready.
