Onion Tomato Chutney |
Ingredients
Chopped Onion | : | 1 no ( as big chunks) |
Chopped Tomato | : | 2 no ( as big chunks) |
Red chilly | : | 3 |
Channa dal | : | 1 tbsp |
Oil | : | 1 tbsp |
Salt | : | to taste |
For Seasoning | |
Mustard Seeds | : | 1/2 tsp |
Urad dal | : | 1/2 tsp |
Oil | : | 2 tsp |
Curry Leaves | : | few |
Method
- Heat a pan with 1 tbsp of oil. Add Channal dal to fry then add Red chilly.
- Add Onion and saute it as translucent.
- Now add the Chopped Tomatoes in to it. Fry it for about 3 minutes.
- Cool the mixture then put it in the mixer/blender.
- Grind it as fine paste and then transfer it to the serving bowl.
- Add salt to taste.
- Heat a pan with oil. Add Mustard Seeds and allow them to pop.
- Add Urad dal and Curry Leaves.Pour this in to the chutney.
- Serve this with Idly (Idli), Dosa (Dosai)
